Directions: Staines Moor - from M25 Junction 13, turn towards Wraysbury (B376) but turn immediately left at the small roundabout. Continue on this road below the crossing M25 and turn left onto Moor Lane (marked by a blue sign). Drive down the lane until you see the footpath sign (direction of Stanwell Moor).
Staines Reservoir - take A30 to Staines from M25, then left on B378 past hospital and superstore to car park on left under height barrier. If closed, park further along the road and walk back. Post code TW19 7UL.
Habitat: Moor: River, reedbeds and moorland, walking on sometimes muddy paths. Reservoir: Good walking conditions along central causeway (1 mile walk), often windy.
Attractions: Moor: Winter thrushes, warblers, water pipit, short-eared owl. Migrants (including some rarities).Reservoir: Winter ducks and gulls, divers and grebes, possibly waders and pipits. Black-necked grebes seen most of the year. Goldeneye and Smew in winter.
Amenities: No facilities. There is a superstore near Staines Reservoir (next to Ashford Hospital)
