James selects his favourite subset of the 100 suggested fabulous summer days out watching British wildlife from his book 'A Summer of British Wildlife'. These feature everything from seabird colonies to beachbum beetles, from snorkelling with sharks to orchid odysseys - and span almost the entire country from Orkney to Scilly.

During lock-down or tier restrictions, when we cannot meet face to face, our meetings are held using Zoom. There is no charge and the zoom link will be sent out the day before the meeting.
Non-members are welcome as guests, but we would ask them to consider making a small donation to the RSPB. They should email This email address is being protected from spambots. When face to face meetings can resume, group members pay £1.00 at the door, and non-members, always welcome, pay £3.00 at the door.
